The regular meeting of the Town of Pines Town Council was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Cathi Murray led us in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.In attendance were:Cathi Murray, Vicki Kuzio, Sandra Hall, Alan Murray and Dan Fries. Vicki made a motion to accept May meeting minutes and Cathi seconded the motion and the motion was voted on and passed 2-0.
Clerk-Treasurer Sandra read the funds received.
Building and Zoning Administrator Alan inspected electrical service and drywall. (Under $1,000.00 so there was no charge) Cell Tower – General Contractor is going to go ahead and fix the edge of the road. Issued 1 permit.Still working on the Nespo lien. Mr. Dobkins present at the meeting to discuss the cleaning up of his property.Mr. Dobkins asked “How can one truck be considered a truck terminal?Mr. Trent (represents the next door neighbor of Mr. Dobkins) said “There are 8 unlicensed trailers on the property. Cathi asked Mr. Dobkins if he was here to request a hearing on the cleaning up of his proberty?He said No.Mr. Dobkins stated that it would cost too much to license all the trailers at this time.He is attempting to clean us so Vicki made a motion to revisit the issue of the Dobkins property at the next Council meeting on July 7, 2010, Cathi seconded the motion and the motion passed 2-0.
Street Department Dan is going to fix the Ardendale culvert problem.If the Council has enough money then Louisiana and Second Place are the roads that need paved next.
Old Business Cathi will call members of the Plan Commission to set a meeting date to address changing the zoning on the Railroad Ave area.She is planning the meeting for Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.
New Business Vicki made a motion to appoint Kent Verhage to the Plan Commission, Cathi seconded the motion and the motion was voted on and passed 2-0.
W. Michael Jabo Mr. Jabo works for DLZ and engineering firm hired to examine the drainage issues in Porter County .He left a map for us to mark up where all the ditches are and where we are having problems.We are to fill in a survey for him, which he will send via e-mail.

Claims Vicki made a motion to pay the claims, Cathi seconded the motion and the motion was voted on and passed 2-0. As there was no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
