February 1, 2017 The regular meeting of the Town of Pines Town Council was called to order at 6:30 pm. Cathi led us in the pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. In attendance were Cathi Murray, Vicki Kuzio, James Prast, Alan Murray, and Jessica Ann Murray.
James made a motion that all officers retain their current position. Vicki seconded the motion. The motion was voted on and passed 3-0.
Clerk Treasurer Clerk Treasurer is resigning soon and will need a replacement.
Minutes James made a motion to accept the Nov. 2nd meeting minutes. The motion was voted on and passed 3-0.
James made a motion to accept the Dec. 7th meeting minutes. The motion was voted on and passed 3-0.
James made a motion to accept the Dec. 28th meeting minutes. The motion was voted on and passed 3-0.
James made a motion to pay both subscriptions. Vicki seconded the motion and the motion was voted on and passed 3-0.
Fire Department There were two calls last month and everyone is AED certified and have an auto defibrillator There was discussion about who was on mutual aid and auto aid. Went to Beverly Shores and raised concern with their fire department.
Building and Zoning There was a gas inspection with no charge, a permit for a reroof and an electrical inspection with no charge.
Street Department We will wait until temperature is above freezing to patch up the potholes. An air compressor is on order.
Old Business Next garbage pickup is Feb 6th. The flags need to be put up. Mr. Burton was at the meeting and his case about trailers and things were discussed and much of the information was cleared up for both parties. He will come before the BZA and things will proceed from there.
Eileen Heisler was present for the dog park that will be built at Pine Elementary School. They will need volunteers for the opening of the park and came to invite us.
A workshop was set up for the Property Maintenance Order and the Violations Bureau for Feb 13th at 6 pm.
New Business It was discussed that the fee for the BZA may be raised in order to cover the cost of the attorney fees and court reporter.
Public Comments Comments were made about the dog park.
As there was no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:28 pm.
